Albert McCormick was a highly respected minor sports volunteer in the 1950s and 60s. The facility that now bears his name is a major high profile competitive facility. The Albert McCormick Community Centre houses twin ice surfaces, each measuring 185 x 85 feet. In total, there are 9 dressing rooms, one referee room, and two concession booths. Lighting at Albert McCormick Arena is 100 feet candle lighting (metal halide) for television. The Upper Viewing Lounge, from which you can see into both ice surfaces, is located on the second floor. Its fully licensed space can accommodate up to 100 standing and 75 with tables and chairs. The Community Room which is located beside the East Rink is also fully licensed, and can hold up to 175 people. Seating capacity for the East Rink is 300, while the West Rink can accommodate up to 399 seated spectators.
